As deep calls to deep - this article is reminiscent of my story. The Eucharist was it. Plain and simple.

It is one of those things that once you understand it you can never go back, and nothing is ever quite the same. I am not surprised to hear that the Eucharist has had a similar effect on others--I pray that many more are converted by devotion to the Body and Blood of Christ!

Wonderful Scoot! Thank you for sharing. Your journey is very insightful. I concur about the Eucharist being the essential tipping point. It was for me. Jesus present truly and substantially in the Eucharist drew me instantly into the Church from my own wilderness of indifference. Beautiful story!

I came late to this article, but this was wonderful; as a convert myself I appreciated hearing about your journey into Catholicism. I've felt at home here too.

Your description of the contradictions within Anglican / Episcopal churches is almost exactly what led to me leaving the United Methodist Church last year. That denomination is anything but “united.”

Thank you for sharing this with me. It’s been helpful and reassuring on some things.
