THANK YOU everyone for joining me for SUBtember! This is the last post of my annual subscription drive, and the rest of the year you can rely on ad-free reading and pitch-free writing.
This month has been about you, about this newsletter, and making sure that I am delivering content that you care about and that helps you. The mission of the Peasant Times-Dispatch is To educate and inspire Catholics and Christians on the beauty and simplicity of their faith. That’s what the Peasant Life is all about: Simplicity and beauty. The Peasant Life has helped me worry less, and love God more, and I know it can help you too.
Dear Everyone,
You have put up with a lot from me this month and I appreciate your joining me for the ride. This is the fifth post this month as part of the SUBtember subscription drive. I’ve called out you lurkers, and told you ways you can support me, even ways that you can remain a lurker! I’ve expressed my gratitude to subscribers, and shared additional ways subscribers can support! I’ve thanked my paid supporters for their generosity, and shown what more they can do, if they feel like it, because they are already doing so much. And I’ve thanked all of you for being here with me.
The only thing that is left to do is to say goodbye to SUBtember, with profound and sincere respect! You helped make this month a success, and you help to make the Peasant Times-Dispatch a place I enjoy writing for and you enjoy reading. It is really thanks entirely to you, my friends, that the Peasant Times-Dispatch exists at all. I am here for you, and you keep me coming back, excited and energized and ready to contribute some more. I hope you come back with the same energy and enthusiasm.
Throughout this month I have asked you to support some substack newsletters which I enjoy and support, and while I did not ask you to go through the recommendation feature so I can quantify how many of you subscribed, I can at least rest easy knowing that some of you did visit those spaces and I hope you will continue to look and join and contribute to the communities surrounding those newsletters.
The last Substack that deserves highlight is none other than Missio Dei (CLICK HERE)! I know many of you are familiar with Missio Dei because many of you (most of you, at the time of this writing!) were referred to my newsletter from theirs. I am exceedingly grateful for their support and for your support, and the work they do is truly valuable to every Catholic and Christian. Every day you can rely on a meditation on that days Gospel, and you can also rely on quality and thoughtful articles about a wide range of topics—I guarantee there is something to interest you there. Please, if you are not already familiar, go check out Missio Dei and see what they have to offer, you won’t regret it!
I have selected one of you new subscribers to receive a comped subscription for life! I realize that the only name I have for you is your email, and I don’t want to accidentally dox you. So S.B. you should be receiving an email saying that I have comped you but if you do not, check because you should now have access to all of my paid content. Thank you very much S.B. for your support!
Thank you again, and may God bless and keep you all in his abundant grace and mercy.
