Dear friends and readers (but I repeat myself),
Welcome back to SUBtember! This is the month of my annual subscription drive where I extoll the virtues of subscribing to my publication. It will be one month of busking in your inbox and then we’ll go back to normal. I like to keep my posts free of TOO MUCH solicitation but you’ll still find a subscribe button or two hidden away!
To wit: last year, for SUBtember, I did lots of posts, one every week, in addition to my many posts throughout the month. It was a lot! I kind of bombarded you. We’re going to do something different this time around, I’ve got GOALS and some things we can do if we hit them.
Subscriber Goals!
The Peasant Times dispatch is about letting go of the things in the world that give us anger and anxiety—it’s about worrying less and loving more. Subscribing to the Peasant Times-Dispatch you will have access to our once-monthly article, published on the 15th of every month.
At the time of this writing, I have 371 subscribers. Can we get to 400 before the end of SUBtember? that’s 29 new subscribers over the next 30 days!
If we hit 400 subscribers, I would like to re-introduce a feature that has been missing from The Peasant Times-Dispatch, and YOU GET TO CHOOSE!
And don’t worry—all of these are features on my radar and things I want to do eventually, so you may see one sooner than later! If we don’t hit 400 subscribers, I will probably wait until the new year to introduce something new—so if you want more of the Times-Dispatch, don’t wait, subscribe today!
A Peasant Paid-Tier!
The Peasant Times-Dispatch has been growing and we are starting to get a trickle of paid subscribers. We’re at the point where I would like to start differentiating options available for Paid subscribers!
If we get 5 Annual Subscriptions ($30 per year for an annual subscription!), I will bring back monthly podcasts. I have an idea for a PAID ONLY version of the podcast where I talk about things that are on my mind and going on in the world to focus on the “worrying less” aspect of our mission here at the Times-Dispatch. Would you like a Paid-only podcast, or would you prefer the free podcast like I have had previously?
If we get 10 monthly subscriptions ($5 per month for a monthly subscription!), I will do a monthly paid-subscriber Chat hangout AND I will start making my own article thumbnails!
If we hit both the Monthly AND Annual subscription goals I will do each of these things PLUS I will do a special gratitude podcast where I shout out my paid subs and highlight your projects! I will send a separate email when this happens to collect information and give you a chance to opt out!
The idea here is that I would love to devote more time and effort to the Peasant Times-Dispatch. Your support would help make this not only possible but it would lead me closer to making this Substack venture sustainable!
Scoot, I want to help, but I cannot get a paid subscription!
No worries! There’s other ways you can help hit both the Subscriber Milestone and the Paid subscriber milestones!
Click the button above and you will get a custom referral link unique to you! Every subscriber who comes to the Peasant Times-Dispatch from your link will accrue benefits for you. If you drive three subscribers—regardless of whether they become paid or not—you will get a 1 month paid comp! If you drive 10 referrals, you will get six months free! If you drive 20 referrals, you will get a whole year!
Everyone who gets a comp’d paid subscription through the referral program will count towards the monthly subscription goals and every subscriber that comes from their link will help hit the Free Subscriber goal!
Your Recommendation is the best pitch I have! I can tell people why I think they should subscribe, but people won’t believe me the way they believe you. I run this shop, but you read it and hopefully you love it. If you enjoy what you read here at the Peasant Times-Dispatch, The Number One way you can help is to tell people!
THANK YOU!
Thank you for reading. Thank you for subscribing. Thank you for your generous financial support. You make this project possible, and you make this project rewarding. With your support, I hope to do so much more to help bring the Peasant Life to the world.
God bless you all!
