WELCOME everyone to SUBtember! This will be my one annual subscription drive, so that the rest of the year you and I can both focus on the content, and not have to wade through endless self promotion.
SUBtember is about you, it’s about this newsletter, and it’s about making sure that I am delivering on things that matter to you. The mission of the Peasant Times-Dispatch is To educate and inspire Catholics and Christians on the beauty and simplicity of their faith. That’s what the Peasant Life is all about: Keeping things simple, and seeing the beauty of God in all things. The Peasant Life has helped me stress about the world less and love God more, and hopefully I can bring that to you.
During SUBtember, as a bit of an enticement, I will be keeping an eye out for:
New subscribers!
Existing subscribers who upgrade to paid subscriptions!
People who engage by liking or commenting on these posts and others!
And I will choose one of you to comp a subscription to, for life!
Thank you for being here and supporting the Peasant Times Dispatch!
Dear Lurkers,
I know you are there! You enigmatic legion who read here but are not subscribed. I am very grateful to you for reading, and it means a lot to me that you find my writing here worthwhile. But there are a few ways you can support me, some of which don’t even require you to subscribe!
If you enjoy what you read here on the Peasant Times Dispatch, consider telling one person about it?
Consider signing up for a free subscription? It is 100% Free and gives you access to all the things you are already reading, only now two things will happen: You will get emails from me whenever I post; and you will show me your support, aside from your loyal readership!
Prayerfully consider signing up for a paid subscription? You can choose between the two cheapest subscription options Substack allows: $5 per month, or $30 per year (about $2.50 per month).
A Paid subscription gives you access to my paid content!
The Adventures of Tylus Worran, a science fiction parable illustrating my peasantly thought. An eager young farmer who wants to see the stars resolves to run away from the family farm, but has no idea what kind of trouble he’s getting into!
The Peasant Life Dialogues, a non-fiction walk through the peasant life, arranged as a dialogue between friends—just the way the Peasant Life was born, between Hambone and myself.
Any new and future paid content I produce! I have lots of plans, including some paid-subscriber-only Podcast content!
A Paid subscription supports me and my work!
If you consider it worth the money, it would mean a lot! The Peasant Life is something I believe in and want to bring to the world, and if you enjoy and believe in what I’m doing too, help me to achieve that mission!
Consider reading and supporting other writers on substack whom I support?
Today I would like to highlight The Manly Saints Project, (CLICK HERE). The Manly Saints Project posts detailed, excellent stories of heroic and manly Saints. It features Saints I have never heard of before, stories which inspire, and all presented in an easy narrative style that is both engaging and supremely interesting. I have been subscribed to The Manly Saints Project for as long as I have been on substack and they are easily one of my favorite reads. One way you can support me is by supporting The Manly Saints Project too!
