How about the layers to catholic blogging world. Everyone is cool with you if you write about Thérèse of Lisieux, but few I have found bold enough to write about Francisco Franco. Will we follow Christ like those who held out at the Alcazar?
Glad I was in before the first dune reference. Hope you're well man!
There's DEFINITELY layers, and I think there's a lot of...shall we say, prudential nervousness about treading on controversial topics. Therese of Lisieux--totally safe. Francisco Franco--less so. It's hard to make a headline that invites nuance, and it's hard to write with nuance in a way that other people won't immediately generalize and oversimplify.
I generally view Catholicism as orthogonal to political dichotomies, though, which has given me a pov for at least looking at these topics (though I admit I do still avoid some of the predictable third rails). Is there something about the Spanish Civil War and the Alcazar that you think more Catholics should know? I'm no stranger to hosting guest posts, shoot me a DM if you think there's meat on that bone!
Thanks for being a long-time reader Steven, I'm grateful for your support! Hope you're doing well, too!

Fine. I'll start a Catholic blog.
